A celebration of Belgian creativity in Mechelen

To mark the Belgian Presidency of the European Union, Flanders hosted a festive evening in Mechelen, celebrating the country’s artistic richness and cultural flair. The event featured live performances by Belgian artists, a cinematic video tribute to the beauty of Belgium, and a playful musical segment that brought a comic-strip story of the Flemish provinces to life. A classical soprano and a grand orchestra added depth and grandeur to the evening — all under the musical direction of Dirk Brossé (curator, music director, and composer), and the artistic direction of Steven Martin. A one-of-a-kind blend of storytelling, music, and imagination.
